Antique large WW1 Military World War Sweetheart beaded heart outlet pin cushion Bedfordshire Regiment 16th foot Militaria

Here is a beautiful Antique WW1 Sweetheart pin cushion, from the mid to late 1910s.

This amazing large sized pin cushion was made by a Military service personnel (possibly injured in recovery) and sent home to their Sweetheart or family member. Made in a heart shape from a light peach and cream fabric which has been heavily adorned with lots of pinned on pink, white, green and blue beads. Also silk patches to the top, to the centre is a cardboard patch with the Bedfordshire Regiment 16th foot logo printed on it. The back is made from a beige fabric, it feels as if it is filled with straw and sand, finished off with cream tassel edging. In very good condition for its age there is some minor marks and discolouration, possibly the odd pin missing, normal wear, please have a outlet good look at the photos as they are a true representation of the condition, a fantastic rare surviving item and a great find for a collector.
