John Buchanan wrote this after the 2nd world war as a tribute to America and to his loyalty to the National Children's Home in London, England.”


15 illustrations depicting quotes from various historical American figures: Abraham Lincoln, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Henry David Thoreau, Henry Ward Beecher, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Ralph Waldo Emerson, George Washington, William Penn, John Buchanan, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Herbert C. Hoover, James Russell Lowell and Walt Whitman.


Pages are perforated making them suitable for framing back in the day.


Pages are bound in a beautiful blue padded book with gold lettering. Other copies available but this binding makes this one more rare. Cover does have a couple of small imperfections which the price reflects. Pages inside are in excellent to mint condition.
