Handmade! Handwoven Chenille Rug, Floor Textile, outlet Using Tapestry Interlocking Weaving Technique, Size: 21 1/2" x 53"

This is a floor textile handmade by Joan B. Flint Textiles, and it's just waiting to become the perfect accent piece for that special place in your home.

A handwoven textile that is soft, pliable, thick, textured, resilient, strong, and long-lasting as well as very color fast. This handwoven was made using thick and textured chenille variegated selvedges of cotton, rayon, and a small amount of poly. The warp used is a poplar tree light brown color that is a strong outlet cotton/poly. The ends of the handwoven are woven with patterned cloth strips that fold under to form a hem, and are triple-stitched using a sewing machine for a long-lasting and durable finish. It has been machine-washed, finished by hand, and pressed.

The design uses a tapestry interlocking weaving technique to build a design of rectangles that gradate in size on both sides of the weaving to create a harmonious visual rhythm. Using a diverse color palette of combinations of grays, terracotta and red-oranges, blue and green; there are three different gray shades, two terracotta and red-orange colors, a dusty blue and an herbal green color.

This handwoven floor textile measures 2 1/2" W (includes selvedge fringe on both sides) x 53" L (includes handwoven hem on both sides), and is accompanied by a care label, description label, and one of my brochures.

Woven and stored in a smoke-free weaving studio. It's been lovingly and carefully crafted, and will be packed with care for quick shipment to your home.
