The needle felted brown and white mushrooms stand bravely in their lush bed of hand-dyed wool fibers, surrounded by smooth pebbles and blades of grass, all contained in a terra cotta saucer. The mushrooms and base were created using quality sheep's wool and a special needle that has notches along the shaft which catch the wool fibers and tangles them together to produce felt.
