outlet We gladly present leather belt pouch.
It's made of vegetable tanned cowhide.
It's been dyed and impregnated in our workshop. This pouch is also edged with leather strip, and on its front there are two embossed patterns.
The characteristic rounded bottom of the pouch can be frequently found at various dig sites, as for example at the one in Birka (Sweden).
The embossed pattern is "gripping beast" from Gniezdowo, the find dated to the second half of the tenth century.
Motif of the gripping beast is typical for the tenth century Scandinavia. This one is a part of the Gniezdowo treasure, a find from Centralnoje Gorodiszcze.
Goldsmiths from Gniezdowo were modeling themselves after Danish workshops connected to the Harald Bluetooth court.
Very similar motifs can be found around Malar lake in Sweden.
