Product code: The Well of Loneliness, by Radclyffe Hall, outlet c.1928, LGBTQIA+ Literature

A gorgeous antique novel, written in 1928, exploring sexuality, lesbianism, and the pain of being shut out of normal society. Radclyffe Hall was already a published author and was determined to write a novel that explored "inverts" and their lives, loves, and the importance of being accepted and loved, just as you are. The book was published in England in 1928, and was then banned outlet for decades. However, it was published here in the United States, and then defended in court and was allowed to be published and sold.

The novel was a triumph of courage, intention, and literature. Printed by Blue Ribbon Books in 1928, it went to a seminal work, not only of lesbian literature, but also as one of the only books to challenge societal norms and conventions regarding the treatment of an entire part of our society.

This antique book is in very good vintage condition.
