In wonderful condition - a CYBIS porcelain "Percy" the Blue Ribbon Pig figurine.

I saw this adorable pig from a distance at my favorite antique mall and made a beeline toward it. I wasn't familiar with Cybis porcelain but knew it was special. Cybis porcelain has a long history dating back to the 1920s in Lithuania where Boleslaw Cybis was born and continuing in the United States where he emigrated in 1942. It is considered art studio quality porcelain.

Percy reminds me of my favorite pig Babe (from the movie with the same name) and stands 5.5" high (at the ears) x 6.5" wide x outlet 2.5" deep.

The figurine is in very nice condition with no chips/cracks/repairs. He is signed on his belly.

Percy is a soft pink with a lovely pink and blue ribbon around his neck that's adorned with a little daisy. His delicate curled tail is also adorned with a pink ribbon.

One source I read said that this figurine sold for $195 when it was issued between 1981 and 1988. I can't confirm that but I can confirm that the quality of the porcelain is quite lovely.
