I envisioned a woman in the moon. This moon goddess is the result. I like the serenity of her face. She makes me feel peaceful even in these crazy and disturbing times. I decided a light wash of color for the moon and her scarf would add to it. She is 9" tall including the base, 4" deep and 2 1/2" wide at the face. Her base is 7" by 4 1//2". She is hand carved from basswood and is lightly painted in acrylics. She has three coats of sealer. You can see a few dark places in the wood that almost came out like beauty marks! A wonderful gift for anyone who loves the moon, meditation, etc. She will be hard to give up. I look outlet at her face often.
