On offer is this lovely collectible brooch. It's in good condition overall, the silver shines up well still all over. There are a few light dings/ scuffs/ scratches here and there but all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It has a traditional oval shape which has been decorated with an intricate star themed border which surrounds the central oval face engraved with "Brechin Cathedral". The detailing is of a good standard and has added a lovely unique sentimental finish to the brooch.

The reverse is plain in design and has a full set of hallmarks for Birmingham 1883 and the maker "SD". The original pin is also present although appears to extend out.

It would've been a locket brooch/ memento mori brooch originally but as shown in the photos the interior and cover which would've fitted on the reverse side have long since vanished over the years.

It measures a charming 40mm in length, weighs 3.8g and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
