Bernard Instone outlet Large Silver Brooch - hallmarked for 1963.

A rare statement brooch from the Bernard Instone company, hallmarked for the year that he retired and passed the business to his son. With a beautiful curving and flowing foliage design this brooch has Instone's design motifs, probably designed by him as it was assay marked in the year he retired.

A rare and collectable piece in excellent condition.

Measures: 57 mm / 2 1/4" in diameter.

Marked on the reverse with 'B.I' and hallmarked for outlet Birmingham 1963. Also separately marked with the B.I emblem surrounded by 'STERLING SILVER' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'.
