It has the original wiring but it looks good. Connected it temporarily and it works> It is set up to be direct wired, but the bottom knob also is a turn switch for on and off. The wiring looks great, no frays or breaks

The fixture is flat black painted metal with painted gold accents.
Other than a few scuffs from use and storage, it's in very good condition.
