Thai Pang Sida Oud

This Thai Pang Sida Oud is a new addition to the ouds i offer, although i have used this several times before in attars i have made. It is one of my favourite ouds to use because of it's unique profile.
Long lasting Ouds with interesting high notes are often quite difficult to find. I especially like to use these in attars that have a lighter and more transparent feel to them, as heavy ouds tend to weigh down blends like this.

The notes in Pang Sida Oud are very interesting too:

Bitter / Sweet Citrus - I get high notes of Grapefruit, Lemon and Apricot in this oud, although they are not sharp like the fruit or essential oil, these are slightly more like the quality of absolute oils which tend to display a more complex and mature profile.
Mid note woods - The woody notes in Pang Sida are quite different to the Thai Koh Chang Oud i offer, these woody notes are more like a vibrant Pine or Cypress outlet, but with that extra quality that Agarwood has. There is a note akin to Buddhawood somewhat, although again not as heavy and dense.
Warm Spices - I get a gingery quality from this Pang Sida Oud, it reminds me of prepping for cooking a Chinese meal with Lemongrass and Ginger. The notes are very fresh and zesty and work in harmony with the Citrus high notes.

This is a more transparent and lighter coloured oud than the Thai Koh Chang, and it also reflects in the aroma. Agarwood oils that have some transparency in their colour sometimes have less longevity, but this oud has a great potency which makes it ideal for blending with florals, fruits, lighter resins and herbal oils.

This is also a more recent copper disillation done in 2020. I have had older batches of this and the quality has stayed high with this newest one.
