One of the early Cobra frames made by Carrera Optyl in the first half of the 1980s. This muscular Cobra has a unique temple design and a beautiful architecture. Very rare icon from the early days of Austrian eyewear design, absolutely beautiful.
Designed by Cari Zalloni, who later made eyewear fashion history with his own brand Cazal. Zalloni started his career alongside Udo Proksch designing the Saphira and Cobra lines for Wilhelm Anger's Carrera Optyl in Austria. A masterpiece of 1980s eyewear design manufactured and licensed by Wilhelm Anger's Carrera Optyl company who also produced Porsche Design, Christian Lacroix, Christian Dior, Paloma Picasso and many other fashion outlet brand licenses at the time.
