outlet This wonderful clay pottery bottle/jug come from Birresborn Germany and I believe is from the late 1800's from my research. It was made to hold mineral water from the Eifel region of Birresborn and is marked on the side as follows: Mineral Brunnen, Birresborn, in der Eifel. Brunnen means Fountain and Eifel refers to the mountain region of that area. The bottle is also marked N4 on the side as well. I wasn't able to get a good photo of the mark, so get one as on as soon as possible. The corks in this piece fits perfectly, however I am guessing it is not the original since it is such an old piece. It is such a lovely piece to display and enjoy and I just love these old earthy pottery pieces.
measures 12" high not including the cork and is 3.5" in diameter not including the handle
