An absolutely amazing vintage 1960s piece casted in solid 925 sterling silver featuring a classic Aztec Mayan calendar. Can be used as a pin, brooch, or pendant. Unisex and fitting for many different styles of chains. Stamped "HECHO EN MEXICO" and "925" on the back with maker's hallmark. Also has an Eagle Mark 1. The number 1 identifies the silversmith or designer of the pendant. Silversmiths or designers who did not outlet apply for their own number could have their silver items stamped with the "generic" eagle of their community. Mexico City was assigned the generic eagle number 1. This system was in effect from early 1949 until the late 70s. Deep beautiful patina.
