Antique Wooden Tool Chest with 2 Lift-out Trays, Nice Iron Handles, Rugged Metal Reinforced Corners - Barn outlet Red

Here is a nice rugged antique wooden tool chest. The piece is solid, has wear you'd associate with a tool box that was actually used vs one for display. You can see by the construction that was made to last with thick wood and corners reinforced with metal. Because of the thickness of the wood, it is rather heavy - weighs a little over 27 lbs unboxed. It is what I'd call a "barn red" with black tones. How light or dark it looks depends on the brightness of the light it's viewed in. I would say the side view that shows the handle is closest to how the color appears in person.

The chest has 2 trays that lift out. The lock mechanism is present but not attached I do not have a key for it. If you look at the closeup you can see it is in the "locked" mode with the top piece that would secure to the lid. I'm including it in case you might want to tinker with it - if you can get it unlocked you might be able to reattach those 2 outlet pieces.
