Handmade Twined Rag Rug, outlet 36 1/2" x 25", white and light gray neutrals with gray and lavender stripes

outlet Handwoven twined rag rug. Woven from many light neutral colors (including white, light gray, beige) that give this rug a "heathered" look. There are sporadic touches of purple in the background (please see detailed image) and the occasional stripes are mostly a stone/gray color with a few smoky lavender stripes thrown in for fun! This item is tightly woven, soft, thick and durable enough to last for years. Perfect for any room in your home from the front door to the bedroom, bathroom or kitchen. Rug is reversible though, due to the weaving process, one side will be slightly "prettier" than the other as I tend to hide the "nubs" from joining the fabric strips together on the opposite side. Wash in cold water, lay flat to dry. Due to size and weight of rug, you may prefer to hand wash.

I love textiles and combining color with texture. Gathering gently used fabric from a variety of sources (Goodwill, other charity shops, friends) I carefully sort, clean and prep the material for weaving. Each rug contains approximately 15-17 yards of fabric and many hours of work. Upcycling this material into a beautiful, unique item gives me joy and I hope to share the results with you.
