Vintage Bell & Howell 16mm Gun Motion Picture Movie Camera with yellow filter 35mm lens and cord. General Purpose, Type N-9.

Cameras like these were designed to be mounted internally in the wings of fighter aircraft to record details of a strike and also to serve as confirmation for claims of enemy aircraft damaged or destroyed. The cameras would activate once the pilot depressed the trigger outlet on his control stick, recording for a per-determined amount of time.

Measures 7 1/2"L x 2 3/4"W x 3 1/2"H.

In good condition with some scratches on it - normal wear and tear for age (see photos).
