Handthrown ceramic raku pottery tea bowl or yunomi in stunning bold colors of fiery outlet red orange and blue green tones

Raku tea bowl or yunomi that was handthrown on the wheel and then fired. The glaze is a new glaze for my work in fiery copper matte tones of deep reds and bright orange and blues. Perfect and of copper matte glaze that is fiery red. Perfect decoration for anyone who appreciates the uniqueness of raku.

Raku is a process by which pottery is fired at a low temperature and then moved while flaming hot to a closed container (in this case a lidded metal trash can) with filled with hay that ignites and causes a reaction with the glaze which creates unique patterns in texture and color.

Raku while stunning in decor and design, is not food safe, and it is outlet porous. As such, it is for decorative purposes only.
