Beautiful copy of "L'Aiglon" by Edmond Rostand from 1900. The hardcover book is 262 pages with the original blue cloth binding highly decorated in gilt with Napoleonic outlet symbols. L'Aiglon is a play in six acts by Edmond Rostand translated by Louise Parker. Based on the life Napoleon II, who was the son of emperor Napoleon I and his second wife, Empress Marie Louise. The title of the play comes from a nickname for Napoleon II, L'Aiglon is the French word for 'eaglet' (a young eagle).
The original sticker from Frederick Loeser & Co., a famous department store in NY is on the inside cover. Found to be in overall very nice condition. Great colors, perfect bookshelf decor and good read!
