Light Coral Crepe Silk 1960's Vintage urushi outlet lacquered Chrysanthemum Japanese Haori Kimono Jacket
Vintage 60's plain light coral coloured silk haori kimono which has an all over woven pattern of round chrysanthemums in metallic silver, some of the flowers are coloured in dark coral and metallic gold, all threads are urushi lacquered thread [Urushi is a Japanese lacquer and is used to coat thread, usually silk, which can be coloured lacquer but often it's metallic, found in shades of gold, silver, pewter, copper, bronze and a whole rainbow of metallic colours.].
Also has a family crest mons embroidered top centre at the back in metallic gold thread, which is [kiri] paulownia [Pic. 5].
The lining is pale outlet coloured silk which has a series of geometric lines woven in metallic silver & gold thread [Pic. 8].
These vintage haori's are a great substitute for a summer jacket or cardigan, also can be worn over a bikini or bathing suit by the pool.

The condition of this kimono is excellent! Also comes with a berry purple the white ombré effect hand woven obijme cord fastening.
Sometimes taking photographs of silk is quite difficult to capture the true colour because of the lustre [sheen], which is why occasionally the item may appear to be a slightly different shade in the pictures.
