18th Century Glazed Peking Duck outlet Form

This stunning piece measures approximately 8” from tail to beak, 4” wide, 4 3/4” tall.

The glaze is a gorgeous, rich espresso brown. On one side you will see rainbow colored circles of imperfections in the glaze.

There is one chip on the duck's beak, and some smaller chips inside the opening on the back.

No maker's mark.

From observing the design of the duck, it's suspected that this piece was used to serve some sort of liquid as the beak has a hole, and the neck forms a handle.
