outlet Andean Cosmology Peruvian Andean trilogy Totem
Hand Carved in Andean Black Stone
This artifact is a representation of the Andean trilogy, handmade by craftsmen of Cusco. The trilogy is comprised of an Andean condor, Andean puma, and the serpent. These three sacred animals are considered the Inca trilogy. Each of them represents a part of the world in the tripartite worldview. The condor, an independent symbol, the messenger of the gods, of spirits; it is revered as an intercessor or intermediary, represents the Hanan Pacha the upper world. The Andean puma, represented Kay Pacha, the world of here, it symbolizes wisdom, strength, intelligence; it also symbolized the government, hence probably the reason Qosqo - Cusco has been planned and built in the shape of a puma. And the snake representation of infinity for the Incas symbolized the Uqhu Pacha or the underworld related to production and fertility. This Totem is carved in Andean alabaster stone. Will be a great addition to your altar or collection.
