SANDOR Signed Romantic Gold Plated White Enamelled Link Chain Bracelet with Coral Red Pearl White Beads and Clear Rhinestones outlet Vintage 1950s
SANDOR Signed Romantic Gold Plated White Enamelled Link Chain Bracelet
How pretty and romantic can a vintage bracelet be? This link chain bracelet by Sandor is made of alternating large and smaller gold plated links. The smaller links carry a trio of white enamelled opening sepals or seedpods containing 2 coral red beads and alternately a clear rhinestone outlet or a white faux pearl bead. Amazing detail with gold along the edges of the sepals. Closes with a hook into the 2 link extension that ends in a pretty bangling cluster of 6 pods. Signed SANDOR at the hook. Measures 6 1/2" - 7" long by 3/8" wide. Excellent vintage condition; probably worn a lot, so loss of goldplating on the inside, but non on the outside showing the gold inside the sepals, all original stones present and shiny. Dates to the 1950s.
Although, along with the “flower” line, Sandor produced other collections of jewelry, it's thin and delicate enamel flowers became the main object of desire of fans of Sandor of the middle of the last century, and collectors of antique and vintage costume jewelry of this century. Once the proud owner of a bouquet of Sandor, for the fine quality, it is almost impossible to confuse this product with ornaments of any other brand.
American Jewelry company Sandor (1938-1972) began its history in 1938, when Sandor Goldberger founded it. Sandor Jewelry shows original design and high craftsmanship. Most of the work released in 1939 had the mark “Sandor”, from 1940 changed to “Sandor Goldberger". From 1955 Sandor was used with a copyright symbol. Unfortunately, the company ceased its operation in 1972.
I'm not a vintage expert, I try to show clear pictures and describe the condition as accurately as I can. All pieces are vintage and pre-owned and will show some wear from age.
