THE ETIENNE AIGNER STORY

It all started with burgundy leather and the vision of Etienne Aigner, a master belt maker from Paris.

In 1950, he moved to N.Y. where he made

equestrian inspired belts for the

"Carriage Trade. Etienne Aigner then began making handbags-searching for hardware from antique stores. The Etienne Aigner handbag soon became a necessity for the women from the lvy League.
