Gorgeous Smith-Corona Sterling in pristine condition. Typewriter works as it should. It's a show stopper - no wonder it is among Tom Hank's favorite. I enjoy looking outlet at it as much as typing on it. The smooth black stripes are on the top and around the base. Photos do not do it justice. Hard to let go of but I'm keeping my collection to under 15 (yes , up from the goal of 12). Not a scratch on the typewriter- near as I can tell. The case has dings and some damage near the left lock. It still does it's job of protecting this fine machine. It will be shipped with the utmost care that is required. It is necessary to pack with lots of padding & I will take the time and care to do so Thanks for helping keep these typewriters in circulation - doing what they were made to do for generations.
