Think Spring and Summer! This cheery hand outlet quilted butterfly throw, wall hanging, or lap quilt makes me smile just to look at it! I love Monarch Butterflies and had my Mother make one of these for me and one for the shop. It measures 40" by 40" and looks great over my half kitchen wall. I couldn't resist taking the picture on the deck with the snow in the background! In the summer - that's where our holly hocks for the butterflies and hummingbird feeder are instead of snow in the scene.
There are four borders to compliment the center featured butterfly material. The back is a solid black cotton material. There is also a low loft polyester fill for warmth and to also make the extensive hand quilting "pop". She hand quilted around many of the butterflies and squares in the center piece. Also the wavy hand quilting on the yellow border represents the calm flowing flight of the butterflies.
A great gift for a butterfly lover!
