This tan baby or lap afghan/blanket was crocheted in a crocodile or scale pattern with scallops around the entire edge.

This has a soft texture and a really nice weight to it. Ideal for a cover over the baby in a car seat, in the crib etc.
This would also make a nice lap afghan or over a seat as you can see in the 2nd picture, it isn't just for babies.
