This is a piece that measures a little over 1 1/2" in diameter.

The MOTHER OF PEARL (MOP) portion is slightly domed, and it sits in the middle of INTRICATELY MADE STERLING SILVER with scalloped edges.

The STERLING SILVER on this pin is ornate, masterful and tremendously beautiful (I will admit the sterling could use a little cleaning, but I leave that to the lucky new owner).

In the middle of the arresting sterling border is a fantastic HAND CARVED, tremendously ornate, slightly domed "star" or large "Flower" with stunning piercings of flowers circling it.

This is a classic piece. It is also a BOOK PIECE, found in myriad books about jewelry made in Israel.

It is singular in its beauty, celestial in its intent and glorious in its appearance.

In MINT CONDITION - we are the lucky recipients of its long, but seemingly untouched travels.

I see no nicks, cracks, flea bites, missing pieces. FABULOUS condition this lassie is in. The only issue, and it is not actually an "issue" is that there was once a piece in the back that would allow one to wear this as a pendant as well. That piece is not there on this brooch/pin. You might, however, should you choose to, have a jeweler attach a piece to the back if you wish to wear this as a pendant.

Perfect for a BRIDE, exceptional with a gown, the icing on the cake with a suit, slacks, dress or jeans and a "tee," this versatile beauty is exquisite.
