10 Vintage 1960's MID CENTURY DOROTHY THORPE Pretzel Knot Crystal Clear outlet Acrylic Lucite Napkin Rings. This whimsical, yet sophisticated, set of 10 napkin rings circa 1960's were designed by the mid-century American sculpture, artist, designer who was born in 1901, Dorothy Thorpe, she started her career working with class, and later started experimenting with lucite. Each elegant napkin ring features a cylindrical twisted pretzel knot shape, which Dorothy Thorpe was known for, made with a crystal clear / translucent acrylic lucite. They came from my grandmother's collection, in gentle pre loved, vintage condition.
