The Japanese word shin'ai meaning "Faith and Love" is composed of the kanji 親 (read shin) meaning "faith, believe in, trust" and 愛 (read ai) meaning "love, affection".

About The Art: The art is created on beautiful handmade paper that we purchase directly from the papermaker in Kochi Japan. This handmade paper has four deckled edges and is perfect for Western-style framing either with or without a mat.

Each work is individually outlet brushed by Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase at the time of your order and proudly bares her seal and signature. This is not a print but is handbrushed to match the sample as closely as possible. This is a personal work of art that is designed to last generations.
