Vintage, outlet Woven Palm Basket Purse, Embellished with Green & Orange Felt Duck and Gold Coins, 1960s, 1970s
Darling embellished woven basket purse, lined with orange felt, zippered inside pocket. There's a maker's outlet tag stitched in the seam but the print is faded so it's illegible and the ends are a bit frayed too. I think the bag was made in the late 60s, early 70s. It was sourced in the Hamptons and then later at Brimfield. It's bold and Such fun!
The outside of the bag has the silhouette of a duck in green felt. There are orange daisy shaped felt flowers alternating with gold tone metal “coins”. The duck seems to be floating on “water“ and the water line is also felt, one stripe of orange and one stripe of green. it's very quaint. The condition is good but not pristine. I cleaned the inside quite a lot, including vacuuming, heavy duty tape to lift whatever would come out, baking powder to eliminate any potential odors, and there are none.
The dimensions of the tote purse ~
14" x 9" x 3"
