VINTAGE ORGANZA DRESS - Original French toddler white embroidered child dress from 1940's for outlet 12 to 18 months girl
This wonderful vintage dress dates back to the 1940's and comes from France. I think it would look adorable on a toddler at a wedding or for any special occasion!
The skirt and the back of the dress are made out a nicely starched white organza which gives it its pretty stiff form. A second shorter skirt underneath gives it more volume. The front and shoulders are made out of intricate embroidered trims of different kinds and sewn together to create a decorative plastron. The skirt possesses three finely sewn folds meant to mimic the three tight folds at the waist. A little cotton loop is meant to keep a ribbon belt, now missing, in place. You can outlet pick and choose your own color of any 1/2" velvet or satin ribbon! The back is closed with four small mother of pearl buttons.
The dress is in absolutely perfect condition. It might have been only worn once, if at all.
This dress should fit a 12 to 18 month toddler. The waist is 10"wide, the high point at the shoulder to the hem is 21" high, the chest width is 10.5". Please note that the fashion in the 40's allowed for shorter dress designs and wearing bloomers would have been part of a truly adorable attire!
The dress will ship out in a box, where it will be folded in two at the waist to avoid creases.
