Dahlia Fields outlet oil painting on wood wall decor

This oil painting was made from scrap wood from my husband's wood shop. I started with the center flower and then moved to do washes of the background, slowly building the layers of oil paint. This process took several days to give the oil a little outlet time to dry between coats. The dahlia flower is upfront and center for a refreshing splash of color and dainty detail. The background of trees was inspired by plots of forest found in the country near my home. This painting would look great for anyone who wants some soft decor that brings in color without having a distracting amount of saturation.
