Limoges boxes first appeared in France during the 18th century and were used by aristocrats as snuff boxes. These hand painted treasures have become highly collectible today and are the perfect size for small tokens or jewelry. They're beautiful on display, especially grouped outlet - it's never too late to start a collection!
Pineapples symbolize friendship and hospitality and this sweet box has lovely details! The custom fit hinge and intricate bee clasp really make it special and unique. Marked on the base, it is completely painted by hand as noted by the term 'peint main'.
