Product code: Rare outlet Vintage Brass Salt Spoon Shovel 1900s
This is a vintage flat shovel spoon in brass from around the turn outlet of the century, most likely for salt. Other suggestions for the shovel design include sugar, preserves, olives, and loose tea, but salt seems the best fit. It is likely English although a very similar shape in sterling was referred to as "Tiffany style". The spoon is very flat and quite long at 6.5", with a pretty floral design at the top base. It has a bit of minor discoloration on the top and some pitting underneath but is a nice display piece or working spoon.
