Paris Cityscape painted circa 1910 . Unframed oil painting by Richard Goetz. Mr. Goetz (March 21, 1874-December 10, 1954) was a German art collector and painter who was a well-known figure in the Parisian art scene at the beginning of the 20th century. Mr. Goetz outlet was also related to Albert Einstein.
He left Paris in 1939 as the rise of Fascism got more aggressive. Mr. Goetz arrived in New York City where he continued to paint and collect artwork. His collection included works by Corbe , Delacroix and Georges Seurat (The Lighthouse at Honfleur), among others.
