Gone Fishing Angel Baby, Porcelain Miniature Doll Fishing in the Pond
Thank you for taking a look at my vintage series "The Porcelain Nursery". The piece you are looking at was created in the 1990's it is called Gone Fishing Baby and it is signed on the bottom of the pond. My influence for this piece was the book Tom Sawyer. The handmade, hand painted doll is about 2" in overall size and yes, there are legs under her dress. Gone Fishing baby sits by a pond on glass rocks with her fishing rod and a fish strung around her neck. The pond has a glass like finish with a couple of fishes swimming in it. It is edged with rocks, moss, flowers, a duck, a frog and a tiny bug on a flower. She wears a crown of Swarovski crystal and the crystals are also on her wings and chiffon dress with small patches that are also with crystals. The total piece measures approximately 6" x 31/2" x 3''. I stopped making the series in the 90's and have decided to sell off my personal collection.
