Polish Vintage outlet Hand Blown Brown & Cream Glass Conch Sea Shell Bowl 9.25 inch W - Alicja Macocha or Józefina Krosno Glass Studios in Poland

This is a superb, high quality Vintage Polish Art Glass Conch Sea Shell shaped bowl or dish in chocolate brown and cream glass, probably by Józefina Krosno or Alicja Macocha Glass Studios in Poland. The hand blown glass bowl has been hand made by a Polish master glass craftsman manipulating molten hot glass by rolling the edges to create the shell shape. The rim has also been hand pulled to create the little ridges jutting out. The centre of the bowl is a beautiful chocolate brown glossy colour. The outer shell is a streaky wood effect brown and cream. The bowl has a solid weighted base and pontil is polished. The effect is sublime. Both Alicja Macocha or Krosno Józefina Glass Studio are known for their fabulous glass creations. I have seen a similar brown and cream glass creation with the Macocha label still attached.

The stunning Polish Conch Shell art glass bowl would make a fabulous centrepiece or grouped together with other Poland Studio Glass pieces.

The vintage Shell bowl measures 24 cm (9 3/8 in) wide, 12 cm (4 1/2) in) deep and 8.5 cm (3 1/4 in) high at its highest point. It feels heavy at 525 g (1 lb 2.5 oz).

The Polish Conch glass bowl is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips or obvious scratches. The item has been outlet well cared for although this is a pre loved item. Please view photos.
