These seashore mug designs came to life with hundreds of carefully placed heart-shaped rocks from my collection of three decades exploring Maine's beaches, islands, and coastal trails. For years, the pounding surf along the Maine coast has shaped each rock into these beautiful heart forms – each its own work of art.

The original flat-lay designs were 2-1/2 to 3 feet long when I climbed outlet a ladder and photographed them outdoors beneath diffused sunlight. The effect of this light brings out the natural beauty in each heart rock and adds a three-dimensional, realistic quality to the art in print.
