A beautiful American Belleek single handled creamer was manufactured in Trenton, N.J. by the Willets Manufacturing Company around the turn of the century. Decorated by hand in a gilt Art Nouveau style floral pattern is painted in gold and black on a luxurious thin creamy porcelain .In excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Guaranteed to be authentic and over 100 years old.
Marked on the base is the logo with the green snake in the shape of a W with BELLEEK stamped above and WILLETS stamped below that was used from 1879 to 1912. Willets Manufacturing Co. - As a successor to the Young Pottery, the Willets Brothers initially limited production to white ware pottery. In the mid-1880's, they hired key personnel from Ott and Brewer to develop their own line of Belleek products. Walter Scott Lenox, who trained at Ott and Brewer, became head of the Belleek operation and developed an extensive array of Belleek pieces. Belleek was produced at Willets from 1887 outlet through 1909.
