Very rare lidded tureen from 1945. Fabulous mid century beehive shape with slot for ladle. We believe this was sold as a bitter churn but is called a saladier and would be perfect for a large salad or soup.
This is in pristine condition. It appears unused. There turquoise glaze is shaded and beautiful. There os not a chip or crack. No crazing.
The tureen measures 8.5 inches tall and 7 inches across the top. Ot is outlet wider in the middle.
The bottom is signed, Maxim's, Paris. Maxim's was considered to be one of the greatest restaurants in the world at that time.
This is a wonderful mid century original find.
