Antique Asian Teapot Square Chinese Xixing Tea Pot Laughing Buddha Maitreya Japan Clay Japanese Ceramics Tea for Two Antique Pottery Ornate Decorative Zen Teapot Asian Decor

My apologies in advance for not knowing the exact details on this gorgeous asian teapot. I have outlet surmised from some research that it is a xixing chinese teapot ( xixing being an area of china ) although I haven't come across one just like this and this one is unusual in that it is square. It looks also to be made of the purple clay and I can see that it was hand formed as inside the slabs of pottery come together on one side. Not sure about it's practical use but so loved the carvings of the laughing buddhas or similar fat and happy bald humans! It has a mark impressed on the bottom of which I didn't take a picture of, please stay tuned, or give me a reminder. Feel free to enlighten me further.....

Condition: 9.6/10 Looks good. Once again, not sure if this is simply a decorative teapot for show or good for tea for two.
Size: 7" spout to handle x 5 5/8" tall x 2 3/4" wide
