Unique vintage metal rocket outlet lamp.1957 Berzac coin bank Definitely original gift idea! perfect desk lamp .

This accent lamp is based on a promotional coin bank which was a popular incentive for new new bank customers back in the early space age era. It's now highly collectable. I do sometimes have pause when I cut on vintage collectables, but I honestly think this is an enhancement to a already rare piece...I think it conjures the spirit of the age and makes something which was old but maybe not very useful...cool again...and that's kind of the point.
In 1957 this was a outlet hot toy. The bank shot a coin into the head of the rocket and the mechanism still works. Any coin you shoot will be lost because we sealed of the base when we created the lamp. This piece has its original silver grey finish and is almost perfect with only one minor repair to a fin.....amazing considering its age. This lamp screams 50s nostalgia. When that robot in your TV life was always panicking with cries of "danger Will Robinson...danger." I love this lamp. It's certainly one of my favorite lamps and I hope you will love it too.
