The Muay Thai sacred 'Mongkol' is a latest addition to our Fighting Spirit jewellery collection.
Measuring 6.5cm long and 2cm wide, this is truly a great piece of silver work which is handpainted to truly replicate the sacred item.
This pendant will be suspended by a good quality sterling silver chain which is threaded through a antique looking, pierced bail.
The pendant weighs 7.4grams plus the chain which will be fitted with a 'Fighting Spirit' brand tag.
One of the things that is instantly recognisable about a Muay Thai fighter and differentiates them from other combat anthletes are the sacred items worn as they enter the ring.
The Mongkol or Mongkon is the Muay Thai headdress traditionally worn by Thai fighters before they commence battle in the ring. The placing of the Mongkol is the last part of the routine before the fighter walks out into the ring. The birth of this tradition dates back hundreds of years. If you fight in Thailand, it's a compulsory accessory.
This is a numbered piece and as such will be supplied in a presentation box and accompanied by a certificate of authentication.
