Vintage Mirro Buffet outlet Server Electric Skillet FryPan With Cord, Circa 1960s, Vented Lid, Cast Aluminum Pan, Aluminum Lid, Model M-0272
Vintage Mirro Buffet-Server Electric Fry-Pan, Model M-0272, Circa 1960s, very good Condition, No coating on cooking surface. Marked "Mirro" on bottom and thermostat, this large cast aluminum skillet/fry-pan with inside measures of 10 3/4" by 10 3/4"has two plastic black handles that form two cradles with four feet, see picture. The high-domed aluminum lid, which extends 3 1/2" above the fry-pan, is vented on outlet its side, which is unusual. Featuring a Round-Black Knob Handle, the high domed lid allows for cooking of oversized items such as roasts, whole chicken, or turkey breast. The Black Bakelite thermostat/heat controller power plug reads "Mirro" with degrees ranging from Off to 450; Made in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, USA. Condition is very clean, no damage. Although used, I do not believe this fry-pan was ever used for frying as there is no baked on grease on bottom or sides. This electric buffet server fry-pan works great! It sits on four feet and is very stable. The two cradle handles make it easy to move without use of hot pads when pan is hot. Pan and lid are completely immersible for ease in cleaning. Lid and pan are still shiny, very little dull patina finish from aluminum oxidation over the years. Bottom of pan reads, "Electric Buffet server, Model M-0272, 1090 Watts, 120 Volts, AC Only, Completely Immersible, Use with wall or base receptacle only, Mirror - the finest aluminum , Manitowoc Wisconsin, US." Great addition to a retro, mid century or farmhouse kitchen. Additional pictures provided when requested. Thanks for stopping be!
