This Italian Mosaic pendant is an excellent example of the artform. This type of pendant is made using larger, chunky, colorful pieces of glass set into a metal frame.
This pendant features a floral bouquet theme made up of red, pink, and light blue flowers surrounded by smaller flowers and leaves. The bouquet is made entirely of tiny pieces of glass. The glass border on the piece is outlet made up of dark brick red glass bits.
The oval frame is made of bright gold-tone metal with an ornate open-work edge. The back of the frame is solid gold-tone metal.
The pendant is 1 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/4 inches wide.
The chain is a heavier weight twisted rope chain with a lobster claw clasp. The chain is 18 inches long.
There is no signature on this piece.
This pendant is in amazing condition. The mosaic is very clean and all the glass bits are in place.
