In a recent Instagram story, Ree Drummond of Pioneer Woman fame posted lovely footage of an Oklahoma sunset filled with twinkling fireflies . . . Of course June is my designated month for firefly artwork, so I was immediately inspired to paint a small watercolor illustration! It's so simple - field grass in the foreground, treeline in the distance, apricot gold sunset sky and fireflies everywhere . . . . Just a mini-moment of country style peace and quiet.

Size: 6" x 9" on 140 lb cold press watercolor paper

Signed and dated by the artist.

I used a combination of watercolor, acrylic paints, chalk, and color pencil on 140 lb cold press watercolor paper for this painting. It's finished with a couple of layers of clear archival spray varnish in a matte finish, which sets and protects the layers of color.

Includes raw edges of approximately 1/4" all around which is visible in the listed images and included in the listed dimensions. These raw edges can easily be covered by matting during the framing process.

As an original watercolor on paper, the materials used are fragile and if not handled with great care, can be damaged or torn!
