BALTIC AMBER
Free form Cabochon, Flat-back

This beautiful specimen was once a gnarly little nugget, picked up on a beach on the Baltic Coast of Lithuania.
I shaped and polished it by hand without the use of mechanical tools. An eight-step polishing process has brought out the deep outlet and bold golden glow that is unique to high quality Amber. Fine inclusions make this a truly special and one-of-a-kind Amber.
This is a free form cabochon- the perimeter and dome are asymmetrical, but the back is flat for easy setting. Suited for high end jewelry.
These photos are my best efforts to convey the beauty of this piece, but nothing shy of holding it in your hands can really do that.
Thank you for your interest...and please do not hesitate to ask any questions!
------------------------------------------------
Amber is fossilized resin from ancient conifer trees. This is Baltic Amber- the oldest (35-45 million years) and most beautiful of the Ambers of the world- and is collected from the shores of the Baltic Sea.
Energetically, Amber is a 'stone' of vitality and healing, and is highly associated with personal strength, evolution, and connection to the greater web of nature. It stimulates our innate healing capabilities and is an energetic ally for those who need to tap into the all-encompassing power of the Earth.
