outlet "Trials of an Inventor Life and Discoveries of Charles Goodyear" by Rev. Bradford K. Peirce is a First Edition published in 1866 by Carlton and Porter. The contents within contain several full page illustrations showing some of Goodyear's contributions including the "Chaffee machine" used to make rubber goods. Also note the nice frontispiece separated from the title page by a quality piece of tissue paper which has no tears and the cool library stamp on the front board.(shown in photo 4)

Condition: VG+(Very Good Plus)-Has some corner bumping and abrasions to the covers and a small marking to the rear cover as well as moderate to heavy foxing on the interior pages and boards but overall is an outstanding copy for its age with mostly white pages(with foxing) with no loose or missing and no tears. The ocvers, binding, and spine are all in great shape and firmly intact!
